Sweden's largest diabetes magazine is growing on more platforms

Allt om Diabetes is Sweden’s largest diabetes magazine and the most important source of knowledge for Svenska Diabetesförbundet’s members. Now alltomdiabetes.se is being launched.

The need for knowledge is enormous. In Sweden, hundreds of thousands of people live with diabetes, and even more are relatives. Another million Swedes have prediabetes and are at risk of developing the disease. Many encounter an information jungle where advice, trends and misconceptions are mixed.

The Swedish Diabetes Association’s mission is to spread safe and reliable knowledge. In a survey, members stated that Allt om Diabetes is their most important source of knowledge – more important than both the internet and healthcare!

The new site is based on everyday questions – about blood sugar, new technology and medicines, but also about things that rarely find a place in healthcare: energy, relationships and how life actually works with the disease. Guides, expert answers and personal stories provide perspective and support.

Allt om Diabetes is produced by journalists at Splay One in collaboration with experts in the field of diabetes: researchers, doctors, diabetes nurses, dietitians and other professionals. The journalism is based on medical knowledge, experience and careful fact-checking.

– The questions never end when you live with diabetes. The disease is complex. That’s why we want to answer what’s most important – with knowledge that can be trusted and that actually helps. It feels great that we can now reach out widely, says Ulrika Lundberg, Editor-in-Chief.

The design is developed by Maria Seefried, art director at Splay One. The website is built in the platform Arto provided by Oktavilla.
